Through the use of SI system reports, the Inventory Control Specialist will monitor product aging and provide direction to shipping on selecting product according to the correct production date. This position is key to verifying the accuracy of product on hand, its location, and quantities. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication (both written and oral), and the ability to work independently.
-Perform all tasks in a safe and effective manner
-Conduct daily inventory audits
-Give direction to Shipping staff on which products will be used first based on production dates
-Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
-Conduct cycle counts
-Rotate inventory by production date as needed
-Organize product locations by moving to the correct location or making the appropriate system updates.
Key Skills and Competencies:
-Strong PC Skills
-Analytical and problem – solving skills
-Ability to read and decipher inventory reports, number sequencing, stock locations, calculate dates, etc.
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to work independently without distraction.
– Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
– 2 years experience in warehousing and inventory control
– Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
– Certified high reach and scissor lift operator a plus
-Multiple level racking
-Exposure to high levels of noise and powered industrial vehicle traffic
