Maintenance Machinist – 2nd Shift


Maintenance employees are responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operation of Company equipment and plant services within their area of expertise. Other duties include; plant-wide maintenance tasks, organization of the maintenance shop, follow-up on all work reports. Support the Preventative Maintenance program and assist the Maintenance Supervisor with daily tasks. Other responsibilities include compliance to GMP, HACCP, and various government regulations.


• Set up and operate mill and lathe equipment
• Able to fabricate using shear, brake and press equipment
• Able to weld, cut and grind using shop equipment such as grinders, gas torch, drill press, tig welding (stainless and aluminum process)
• Familiar with proper bearing removal, installation and setting preload
• Read and interpret blueprints, study specifications, and drawings to determine the machining operations to be performed
• Ensure workmanship throughout the manufacturing process
• Ensure finished goods meet or exceed the cost, quality and schedule expectations
• Perform daily housekeeping duties
• Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices
• Any other duties that fall within the employee’s capabilities


• Read and decipher blue prints and schematics
• Use vision for close up inspection and color distinction
• Experience working in +/-0.001 tolerances
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in heavy duty machining/ manufacturing environment
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience on lathes and drill presses
